Light and Placement

Place your Begonia Withlacoochee Brazilian Lady in bright, filtered or indirect light to support healthy growth and attractive foliage. Protect it from harsh afternoon sun, which may scorch the leaves. An east- or north-facing window can provide suitable light. Rotate the pot occasionally so the plant grows evenly.

Watering and Humidity

Allow the top layer of soil to dry slightly before watering. Then water thoroughly until excess moisture drains from the pot, and empty any water collected below it. Avoid letting the plant sit in standing water. Gentle airflow can help maintain healthy foliage, while higher humidity may support growth during dry indoor seasons. Avoid keeping the leaves constantly wet.

Soil, Feeding, and Repotting

Use a light, well-draining potting mix that does not stay soggy. During active growth, apply a balanced houseplant fertilizer according to the product label. Repot only when the roots have filled the current container, and choose a pot one size larger with drainage holes.

Propagation

Healthy stem cuttings can be used to propagate this Begonia. Take a cutting with several leaves, remove the lower leaves, and place it in lightly moist, well-draining propagation media. Keep it warm in bright, indirect light while roots develop.

Common Problems

Yellow leaves may indicate excess moisture. Wilted or curling leaves can result from dry soil, low humidity, or intense sunlight. Check the soil and growing conditions before watering again. Inspect the foliage regularly for pests and maintain good airflow to help reduce common indoor plant problems.

We pack each plant carefully for shipping. During cold weather, a cold pack is required for the Arrive Alive Guarantee, so please add the recommended cold pack to your order when available.
